Love organic vegetables but don’t have the right space to grow your own?
You might like to join the Infuse Community Garden, 147 Hurling Drive, Mt Barker – the Adelaide Hills answer to the growing interest in community organic gardens.
Infuse has 3m x 1m plots now available for lease to any member of the public who want to try their green thumbs at organic vegetable growing. You’ll meet a passionate group of gardeners who will give you tips on how to grow anything from snow peas and yellow zucchini, to tomatoes and cucumbers.
In addition to digging and weeding, there is also the opportunity to help out at garden working bees and attend gardening advice talks from local experts.
The cost to lease a plot for six months is only $35 or $25 for concession holders such as pensioners. Not-for-profit organisations can lease a plot free of charge.
